\nThank you for the sharp eye in noticing the newspaper article. Please note there are links to both Monroe County school district data bases and State-wide (all district) 2009-2010 reports. If you do choose to incorporate the new results be cautious in accounting for the new grading system (higher "cut points" on state assessments) which should depress all scores relative to previous years. The first part of the accountability reports can be helpful in focussing on problem areas if notations of not making "AYP" adequate yearly progress, are present. Thanks again Tara! \nI am Kevin Austin, adjunct professor in Educational Administration at SUNY Brockport. I also supervise students during their administrative internship. I am recently retired from a 37 year career as an educator, teacher and administrator, at the middle and elementary levels.

\nMy wife, Marcy is also a retired educator. She concluded her teaching career by leading improvement in student achievement as an Elementary Mathematics Specialist. We now live in Canandaigua in our first new home in 30 years.

\n Our two sons are teachers, one a teacher of third grade, the other high school English. Our daughter is a nationally certified sign language interpreter, who with her husband recently made us grandparents for the first time!

I went back to school in 2001 to become a Secondary Mathematics Instructor and was in the classroom for five years working with great students at Brockport High School. I loved working with the students but felt something was missing so I took on my current position which enables me to view instruction from a wider lense of K-12. I am about 3\/4 of the way through the program and have enjoyed using an even wider lense for learning and discussion education.
